Erection Guide

Twistlok is quickly and easily erected as shown in the diagram. The position of the bases, (either jacks or plain bases) can be roughly set out using the Horizontals as shown.

The Horizontals are plased in the lower cups and the upper cup fixed by hand at first. Do not tighten the upper cup until all the Horizontals to be fitted in the cup are in place. Make sure the lowest Horizontals are leveled by adjusting the base jack before adding others and make sure the Verticals are upright.

Lock the top cup with a hammer blow. The height between each level must be taken form the data in the loading table.

When one Vertical is placed on top of another the spigot is bolted to the lower Vertical only unless the scaffolding is designed to take upward loads in which case a special locking pin is supplied.
